What static mix nozzles do
A static mix nozzle (also called a static mixer nozzle or mix tip) is a disposable tube with no moving parts. Two-component adhesive is forced through fixed helix or Quadro elements so A and B leave the tip mixed, without a cup, paddle, or powered mixer.
The number on the bag is a geometry code: inlet (A-System bayonet, B-System, F-System, or bell), mix-ratio family (1:1 / 2:1 vs 4:1 / 10:1), inner diameter, element count, and outlet (Luer or stepped). When those match, a compatible mixer seats on the same cartridge.
How to match a static mix nozzle
Keep the adhesive. Change the mixer.
The OEM Mixpac and Nordson nozzles are fine. What plants get tired of is the supply: allocations, backorders, and case prices that do not hold up at a thousand tips a month. A compatible mixer with the same published geometry goes on the cartridge you already run. Nothing else in the process has to move.

Will a compatible mixer fit my 50 ml Mixpac or Loctite cartridge?
If inlet, ratio family, inner diameter, and element count match, it is typically used as a drop-in. Trial on your adhesive before a process change. Do not put an A-System tip on a B-System cartridge.
Helix or Quadro: which should I buy?
Use the same style as the mixer you already run. Helix (round, usually white) and Quadro / square (usually green) are different mixing geometries.
